a single chair hair salon

Georgina's passion for hairdressing came at an early age, testing out her skills on dolls was her first love.  Her early education gravitated towards the arts.  Sculpture, printmaking, costume design; all while daydreaming of life in the hair salon.  Until one unique summer weekend in June 2009, an opportunity arose to volunteer with hairstylist Charlie Price (BravoTV's Shear Genius) and that was when the fireworks happened.  After seeing the behind the scenes of legend hairdressers at work, the fire in her soul ignited, and training to become a licensed professional hairdresser began.  

After completing cosmetology school and receiving licensure at the start of 2011, she graciously accepted an apprenticeship with creative director Bryan Dean of Avant Garde Salon, Gainesville, to which she is forever grateful (especially owners/mentors Mike and Rob!).  She also enjoyed working at other hair salons, learning best from various perspectives.  For continuing education and expertise she finds the Sassoon Academy is home base.

She chooses to specialize in hair cutting, coloring, and styling only.  She is influenced by the works of John Sahag and Vidal Sassoon.  Vidal's philosophy, based on architecture, translating to the shape and movement of hair is especially resonating.

In 2018, she decided to make the change from team salons to her own single chair hair salon studio, enjoying working independently.  She draws upon her love for art history for a whimsical experience throughout the salon.  Her guests enjoy her intuitiveness, knowing when one prefers a good chat or a good mental nap!  Walking through the doors of the salon are a variety of people, all hair types welcome.
