It allows for dimensional highlights that feather up to the root, with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines. This can be subtle, or dramatic. Somtimes a "shadow root" technique at the regrowth area for a natural effect Is used. Balayage is mostly done in shades of blonde and brunette, but this can also be paired with creative, vivid, fashion color.
Ombré translates to "shaded" in French. Also called a color melt, because of the blending of one color to another, usually creating a gradient from darker shades to light. Each ombré is personal, some are high contrast, (exp:black to blonde) others, less contrast, (exp: dark brown to medium brown) also know as sombré- subtle ombré. This can be done with any color gradient. Fantasy or a natural palette.
